Design
The 2017 Porsche Panamera received many updates. At first glance, you will notice an edgier and more distinct styling cues while maintaining the Panamera legacy. On the interior a lot of modernization has happened in the technology and the design. You will find a massive center screen that brings both sides of the interior together. Many buttons have upgraded premium materials and a heavier reliance on capacitive touch. The center stack has been streamlined to allow for a more modern feel. Overall, a nice step forward for the Panamera. Now on to the important stuff.
Performance
For 2017, Porsche has relieved two new engines to power the Panamera. The S will receive a 90 degree 2.9L V6 twin-turbo pumping out 440 HP @ 5650 RPM with peak torque of 405 ft lb staying flat between 1750 - 5500 RPM. The Turbo will feature a new 4.0L V8 twin-turbo pumping out 550 HP @ 5750 - 6000 RPM while peak torque of 567 ft lb comes in at just 1960 RPM. The twin turbos sit on top of the engine between the cylinder heads and reach boost of 18.8 PSI.

Both models use a new PDK gearbox sourced from ZF that adds a gear giving the new Panamera 8 speed ratios. The new unit despite having another gear measures 5.6" shorter than the previous 7-speed generation.
