Porsche upgraded the intake system on the 981 from the previous generation 987. The 981 features a dual intake inlet design that brings fresh air in from the side intake scoops. Modifications such as the IPD Plenum and high flow air filters improve air flow and velocity, resulting in improved power and throttle response. The induction noise is also increased, giving the 981 a visceral motorsports sound.
