The Porsche 992 Carrera introduces a revised 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six engine that builds upon the 991.2’s foundation with improved efficiency, strength, and tuning potential. This modular, high-tech 9A2 EVO engine architecture is shared across the Carrera, Carrera T, S, and GTS models, making it an ideal platform for performance tuning and power upgrades.

Porsche 3.0L Engine

The 9A2 EVO engine featured in all 992.1 Carrera is a robust power plant built for power. Mechanically, the engines are the same across the base, S and GTS models. The aluminum alloy block is lightweight but strengthened via 150 micron iron coated cylinder liners that utilize plasma wire transfer arc technology. Porsche integrated a forged crankshaft, rods and pistons providing a significantly stronger rotating assembly that is capable of handling higher levels of boost pressure. The S and GTS trim levels utilize a larger turbocharger which allows for higher boost pressure to deliver more power output.

Every Flat 6 Motorsports Porsche 992 Carrera Power Kit is engineered as a comprehensive system designed to deliver measurable horsepower and torque gains while maintaining Porsche’s precision, reliability, and everyday drivability. Each package integrates proven hardware with expert ECU calibration to create a perfectly balanced performance upgrade for both Base/T and S/GTS models.

Inside the 480HP kit:
- M-Engineering ECU Tune – Proprietary calibration developed for the Porsche 992 3.0L 9A2 EVO engine. Enhances boost control, ignition timing, and drivability while maintaining OEM safety parameters.

Inside the 510HP kit: 
Includes everything in the 480 HP Kit, plus:
- BMC High-Flow Air Filters – OEM-grade performance filters that increase airflow and improve turbocharger efficiency.
- High-Flow Link Pipes – Reduces exhaust restriction, allowing the turbos to spool faster for improved throttle response.

Inside the 625HP kit:
Includes everything in the 625 HP Kit, plus:
- OEM S/GTS Turbos – Factory larger-frame turbochargers supporting higher boost levels and increased top-end power.
- High-Flow Link Pipes (Upgraded) – Further optimized for higher flow rates.
