Verus Engineering - Carbon Fiber Dual Element Dive Plane / Canard Kit (981 Cayman GT4)

$995.00

Designed to Fit

  • 2014 - 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 / Boxster Spyder (981)

Product Details

The dive planes for the Porsche 981 GT4 were specifically designed to increase front-end downforce, increase the high-pressure airflow to the factory intake duct, and to keep drag increase minimal.  They produce a safe aero balance with or without the addition of our rear diffuser.  The units were designed in CAD using scan data and optimized using CFD within ANSYS Fluent.  These units are constructed from 1.5mm thick pre-preg, autoclaved cured, 2x2 twill carbon, with a matte clear finish.

Dive planes, also referred to as canards, allow you to shift the aero balance forward, possibly aiding you and your setup in balancing out a large rear wing or diffuser.

Features:

  • CFD optimized for improved performance
  • Shift aero balance forward (improves front end grip)
  • Allows fine tuning of aero balance (forward biased)
  • Simple bolt-on or double-sided tape installation with templates (included)

Construction:

  • 2x2 Weave, Autoclave Cured, 1.5mm Thick Carbon Fiber
  • Stainless Hardware Throughout
  • 3M VHB Double Sided Tape, Cut Specifically to Dive Plane Sizes
  • Vinyl Templates to Aid During Install

Why Verus (pronounced Veh-rus)?  Verus is Latin for true or complete.  We strongly believe in engineering as a whole.  We are also a company comprised primarily of engineers.  We wanted to bring our passion for engineering to our name.

In 2014, a group of Motorsports engineers joined together and began a journey into revolutionizing the components available to the aftermarket industry.  The group of engineers comprised in Verus Engineering have a wide range of previous and ongoing knowledge within the Motorsports world.  We have worked within IndyCar teams and the sanctioning body, NASCAR teams, World Endurance Car (WEC) teams, as leading suppliers to the Motorsports industry, and in leading aftermarket companies as well.  This vast experience allows us to cater to many needs within the automotive industry.  With thoroughly engineered components including the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermodynamics, heat transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), we strive to produce aftermarket parts that can outperform the factory components.
