Product Details

The Verus Engineering OEM Wing Riser Kit not only improves performance of the factory rear wing, but also improves visibility out the rear window of your 991 GT3. The means a bump in rear downforce and a rear view mirror that functions better then before. The units are produced in house on our 5-axis CNC mills out of 6061-T6 aluminum.

Utilizing state-of-the-art analysis software during the R&D process, we were able to ensure that the OEM wing improved performance. Using in house scan data during the design process, we were able to design the wing risers with aesthetics that follow the factory Porsche body lines and bolts on like an OEM piece.

Add performance, improved aesthetics, and function to your 991.1 or 991.2 GT3 with these simple to bolt on units.

Features:

  • Increase Downforce Generated by OEM Wing
  • Improved Overall Aerodynamic Efficiency
  • Better High-Speed Stability
  • Reduce Lap Times
  • Simple Bolt-On Installation

Specifications:

  • CFD Designed and Tested
  • 6061-T6 Machined Construction
  • CNC Cut in House in the USA

Science

The OEM wing has a few degrees of adjustment which allows the rear wing to make more and less downforce. With our GT3 risers, we increase the AOA (Angle Of Attack) adjustment past what OEM allows, which in turn increases downforce past that of what just the OEM wing is capable of. Moving the wing up slightly also improves airflow underneath the wing, further improving the OEM wing's efficiency and downforce generating capabilities. We ensured the improved performance through internal CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) runs compared to the OEM wing.

About Verus Engineering

Why Verus (pronounced Veh-rus)?  Verus is Latin for true or complete.  We strongly believe in engineering as a whole.  We are also a company comprised primarily of engineers.  We wanted to bring our passion for engineering to our name.

In 2014, a group of Motorsports engineers joined together and began a journey into revolutionizing the components available to the aftermarket industry.  The group of engineers comprised in Verus Engineering have a wide range of previous and ongoing knowledge within the Motorsports world.  We have worked within IndyCar teams and the sanctioning body, NASCAR teams, World Endurance Car (WEC) teams, as leading suppliers to the Motorsports industry, and in leading aftermarket companies as well.  This vast experience allows us to cater to many needs within the automotive industry.  With thoroughly engineered components including the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), thermodynamics, heat transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), we strive to produce aftermarket parts that can outperform the factory components.
