Overview

The Porsche 992.2 Carrera introduces some upgrades from the previous 992.1 generation with the use of common turbochargers on the Base/T and S. These turbochargers were used on the previous 992.1 S and GTS. This larger turbocharger provides greater tuning potential for the Base and T variants while maintaining great potentail on the S trim as well. The 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six engine that buily upon the 991.2’s foundation with improved efficiency, strength, and tuning potential remains the same from the 992.1 genreation. This modular, high-tech 9A2 EVO engine architecture is shared across the Carrera, Carrera T, and S, making it an ideal platform for performance tuning and power upgrades.

Porsche 3.0L Engine

The 9A2 EVO engine featured in all 992 Carrera is a robust power plant built for power. Mechanically, the engines are the same across the Base/T and S models. The aluminum alloy block is lightweight but strengthen via 150 micron iron coated cylinder liners that utilize plasma wire transfer arc technology. Porsche integrated a forged crankshaft, rods and pistons providing a significantly stronger rotating assembly that is capable of handling higher levels of boost pressure.

- M-Engineering - M-Flash ECU Tuning w/ Live Map Switching (992.2 Carrera/ S) – Proprietary calibration developed for the Porsche 992 3.0L 9A2 EVO engine. Enhances boost control, ignition timing, and drivability while maintaining OEM safety parameters.

Inside the Flat 6 645hp kit: 
- M-Engineering - M-Flash ECU Tuning w/ Live Map Switching (992.2 Carrera/ S) – Proprietary calibration developed for the Porsche 992 3.0L 9A2 EVO engine. Enhances boost control, ignition timing, and drivability while maintaining OEM safety parameters.
- BMC Performance Air Filters (992 Carrera / Turbo) – OEM grade performance filters that increase airflow and improve turbocharger efficiency.
- Soul Performance Products - High Flow Downpipes (992 Carrera) – Reduces exhaust restriction, allowing the turbos to spool faster for improved throttle response.
