The Porsche 992 Carrera S and 4S have a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine. The original model has 450ps / 54.1kgm, which is the same as the 993 GT2 performance.

However, in order to comply with the Euro 6/VI emission standards. The original 992 series of sounds are too quiet, losing the enjoyment of high-performance sports cars hearing.

To help the 992 Carrera find the sounds that the sports car deserves, iPE has tried the full pass-through design without any noise reduction function.
But the full-through design not only makes people unbearable when "valves are open", but also only reduce 3 ~ 5db even when "valves are closed".

Therefore, iPE decided to use the small muffler as the 992 exhaust’s design. When the valve is closed at 3950rpm, the decibel is only 103 ~ 104db, and after the valve is opened, it is 114 ~ 115db, and you can get a loud POP sound within 1 second after the throttle is retracted. With the headers, the exhaust is smoother and the acceleration in the high-speed range is extended.

iPE Valvetronic Exhaust System

Valvetronic stands for their own valve-controlled exhaust technology that delivers power and control to the driver’s seat. Their valvetronic exhaust systems are operated by a remote control module and come in three modes: on, off, and auto. In on mode, the valves are fully open for maximum air flow, allowing for better performance and increased sound volume with an astonishing and clean tone. When pressing the off button, the valves close completely, which significantly reduces the sound volume for a comfortable drive.

For the ultimate driving experience, the auto mode is the right choice: the system detects the fuel pedal signal and adjusts the valve movements accordingly and automatically for a dynamic drive.
