Street Version

There are not many manufacturers who can claim to have an exhaust system that makes power, produces an aggressive sporty tone, and still has a minimal effect on drivability and cabin noise. Tubi Style is well known for providing that best of both worlds performance with their Turbo "Street" exhaust system on the 997.1 and have now brought that same performance philosophy to the new 3.8L 997.2 Turbo. By using high performance 200 cell catalytic converters in conjunction with their proprietary free-flowing center muffler, Tubi does an amazing job of providing that perfect balance between performance and sound. Like it's predecessor, the 997.2 Turbo system provides a distinctive Tubi exhaust note, although slightly deeper and a bit more menacing. This is largely due to the .2 car's larger displacement and direct injection. During normal driving and highway cruising, the sound stays civil enough to hold a conversation and shows no signs of additional droning or resonance inside the cabin. When the traffic clears up or you experience a moment of bravery, a deep press of the throttle unleashes the unmatched aggressive sound that can only come from a Tubi. Like every exhaust in the Tubi lineup, the 997.2 Turbo system is made entirely by hand using the highest grade stainless steel available. Their patented muffler design provides dramatically improved exhaust flow, which is responsible for gains of nearly 20hp (more depending on other hardware upgrades).

Race Version

Although the official reason that catalytic converters are a requirement on all new cars is to control vehicle emissions, most enthusiasts will tell you that the number one goal of cats is to rob your car of valuable horsepower by severely restricting exhaust flow. On a turbocharged car like the 997.2 Turbo, upgrading the exhaust system is an essential part of any performance package and becomes increasingly important as your horsepower goals get higher and higher. Especially in any application using upgraded Billet VTG Turbochargers, even high-flow catalytic converters create unwanted back-pressure and hinder performance. The Tubi Style Race exhaust system for the 997.2 Turbo is the perfect solution for anyone looking for that best of both world’s package that provides minimal back-pressure and an intoxicating sound that doesn't overwhelm the cabin with resonance. Tubi perfected this formula by replacing the catalytic converters with bypass pipes leading to a specially designed rear muffler that dramatically reduces back-pressure, without any of the negative side-effects. Unlike many other manufacturers whose "race" exhaust systems are simply the same rear muffler as their street application but without cats, Tubi spent a great deal of time designing a new rear muffler specifically for the race application. Why? Because not only is it important that every Tubi exhaust system perform better then the competition, but it has to sound better too. Simply deleting the cats from a street system results in far too much droning and is just too loud. Tubi's rear muffler keeps the characteristic exhaust note that makes the 997.2 Turbo stand out in a crowd, but turns up the volume a notch or two to a level that's perfect in any driving situation. Oh, and did we mention the intoxicating whistle of turbos spooling up? Why would anyone ever want to overpower that beautiful sound with an unrefined, loud exhaust? We're still trying to figure it out ourselves, so take our word for it, you won't regret taking a Tubi Race system for a test drive! Hand made in Italy just for you, there isn't a better race exhaust system available for the 997.2 Turbo or Turbo S.

About Tubi Style

Tubi Style SRL is strategically located in Maranello, Italy, sometimes referred to as the “Terra dei Motori”, just around the corner from Ferrari’s prestigious factory.  The company was founded in 1987 by Fausto Lettieri and Enrico Ruini, who dreamt of using their years of Formula One exhaust experience and passion for high performance automobiles to translate raw engine noise into music.  With Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and DeTomaso all being produced right in their backyard, Lettieri and Ruini immediately gained widespread recognition among local owners for their exceptionally hand-crafted exhaust systems.  By 1993, overwhelming demand for Tubi Style exhaust systems quickly overshadowed supply, forcing Tubi Style SRL to move to it’s current manufacturing facility located in Ubersetto, Italy.

With a staff of about 40 skilled employees, Tubi Style devotes nearly half of their efforts to developing and manufacturing the highest quality and most unique sounding exhaust systems on the market today.  Their remaining efforts are dedicated to the manufacturing of OE (original equipment) exhaust systems for several prestigious automobile manufacturers, as well as their continued involvement in professional racing where the company supplies exhaust systems for many Ferrari and Maserati factory GT race cars.

Since 1987, Tubi Style has expanded their offerings from their locally produced Italian sports cars (Ferrari, Maserati, and Lamborghini) to also include the likes of Bentley, Audi, BMW, Aston Martin, and Porsche. Whether you’re driving a larger BMW sedan or a pure bred race car like the Ferrari F40, Tubi Style is guaranteed to deliver the perfect blend of performance and sound. There’s only one way to truly experience what makes Tubi Style exhaust systems so special; you just have to hear it.
