The arrival of the Porsche 992.2 Carrera marks a slight shift in the 911 timeline. While much of the buzz has focused on the hybrid GTS, the "standard" Carrera has quietly become one of the most exciting tuning platforms in Porsche history.
At Flat 6 Motorsports, we’ve spent years perfecting the 992.1 platform. Now, we are continuing that work and diving deep into the 992.2 to help owners unlock the true potential of the 9A2 EVO engine. We have had both a 992.2 Base PDK car and a 992.2 Carrera T in manual to confirm fitment, test and help develop products with industry partners.
The 992.2 Secret: "GTS" Turbos for Everyone
The biggest news for the 992.2 Carrera (Base and T models) is under the engine cover. Porsche has equipped these models with the larger turbochargers previously found on the 992.1 Carrera S and GTS.
Mechanically, the 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six remains a masterpiece of engineering, featuring iron-coated cylinder liners and a forged rotating assembly. Because the Base/T now shares turbos with the higher trims, the "headroom" for tuning is massive.
The Power Kits: From 600 - 675 HP

1. The 600HP Kit: The Essentials
This kit focuses on the brain of the car. Utilizing the M-Engineering’s M-Flash ECU Tuning, we recalibrate boost control, ignition timing, and throttle mapping. This isn't just a "tune"—it’s a proprietary calibration developed specifically for the 9A2 EVO engine.

2. The 645HP Kit: Breathing Better
To push past 600HP, the engine needs to breathe. We add BMC Performance Air Filters and Soul Performance High-Flow Downpipes. By reducing exhaust backpressure, the turbos spool faster, giving you that "pinned to the seat" feeling much earlier in the RPM range. The improved flow allows for more power output.
3. The 675HP Kit: The Full Bolt-On Kit
