M-Engineering - M-Flash ECU Tuning w/ Live Map Switching (992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid)
Designed to Fit
- 2025 - Present Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (T-Hybrid)
Product Description
M-Engineering has been at the forefront of Porsche ECU tuning, and has spent countless hours of research and development to provide safe, powerful, and reliable performance improvements. The 992.2 T-Hybrid platform is no exception, and M-Engineering is excited once again to be a World's First to such an incredible car. Their calibrations are all built in-house and tested on their Mainline ProHub Dyno, on the streets, mountain roads, canyons, and race tracks. This project has been in the works by the M-Engineering R&D and Calibration team for 12 months, with over 800 dyno pulls, hundreds of miles of road testing as well as validation testing out in spirited driving and track conditions.
M-Engineering's tuning strategy is drivetrain safety first, and power second. By utilizing this strategy and calibrating critical points such as the max torque the connecting rods will demand, the maximum revolutions of the E-Turbo, PID and boost-by-gear control, we are able to extract more power to these cars than would otherwise be possible. Adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, optimize air/fuel ratios, increase boost, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the new T-Hybrid platforms. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies as well as our own custom engine safeties written with our unique code. M-Engineering's calibrations are world renowned seeing action in Motorsport racing series, world records set in drag racing events, and top times up Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, year after year.
M-Flash for the 992.2 requires mailing in your ECU to M-Engineering's Pompano Beach, Florida facility for processing and unlocking the ECU. Expected turnaround time is 24 to 48 hours. This is due to the extensive security protocols within these ECUs which are labor intensive to get around. The ECU will be returned to you with the tune already installed and map switching active! Please note that the tune can be overwritten if the dealer flashes the ECU. We recommend not having any updates done at the dealer to avoid the potential of this. If this does happen, the process needs to happen again with the unlock and the cost to reflash is $2000.
ECU Removal instructions are located here.
Adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, adjust air/fuel ratios, increase boost, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies as well as our own custom engine safeties written with our unique code. M-Tuner and dongle flashing support will be released at a later date.
What's Included?
- M-Flash Calibration with On-The-Fly Live Map Switching
- M-Tuner V3 Dongle for clearing faults and datalogging
Maps are available in Stage 1 or Stage 2 (upgraded link pipes) calibrations. Please specify your specific hardware upgrades when you mail in your ECU.
Live Map Switching
On-The-Fly Live Map Switching comes standard on all calibrations (Stage 1 and Stage 2). The purpose of this feature is to quickly change between different power levels relating to the octane you are filling up with. This is all controlled via the cruise control stalk. Information on how to use Live Map Switching can be found here.
Map Slots
- Slot 1 - ACN91 (Arizona, California, Nevada 91)
- Slot 2 - 91 Octane or 95RON
- Slot 3 - 93 Octane or 98RON
- Slot 4 - 100 Octane or 103RON
- Slot 5 - Engine Safety (Detonation Defense)
Available only from M-Engineering, their custom code, developed specifically for the T-Hybrid platform, maintains reasonable turbo shaft speed targets set by the ECU and MGU without over speeding the turbocharger. This is done with rigorously tested PID (Proportional, Integral, Derivate) control they wrote which continuously calculates between the desired target setpoint and the measured value of the turbo shaft speed to automatically adjust in real time. In addition to this, our custom Boost-By-Gear control means that no matter the gear and load the vehicle is in, specific setpoints of manifold pressure are targeted based on this so that the vehicle maintains the responsive and linear control the E-Turbo was designed for.
Porsche's new E-Turbo setpoints are hard coded into the ECU and MGU, meaning that if a code/DTC is set for turbo overspeed, the code cannot be cleared from the car until a brand new E-Turbo is replaced and coded by the factory or dealer, normally resulting in repairs in excess of $17,000. With M-Tuner's custom code and patches, this code can be cleared in the very rare event it is tripped, and also cleared from a vehicle that may have seen this code before tuning on stock or other aftermarket calibrations.
