 Product Details

The QRT-R fiberglass racing seat was the first seat to feature Sparco’s patented QRT ultra-light technology. The Sparco QRT-R is the lightest “large” size fiberglass seat on the market. It is lighter than some of the competitors “medium” size seats. The QRT-R was specifically designed for a large driver and it fits a 36” waist driver comfortably. The QRT-R is unique because it was designed to fit a larger driver but has excellent fitment into smaller cockpits The QRT-R requires the special QRT-R Side mounts (#600QRT) which allows the seat to be racked back for a comfortable seating position. The QRT-R is FIA approved.

This innovative production method generates the lightest fiberglass composite seat shells currently on the market; in fact, it guarantees a reduction in total weight of up to 30% compared to traditional production methods. The QRT seats approach the weight of a comparable carbon fiber seat at a lower price point.

The superiority of Sparco seats comes from the shells that are designed and developed with performance and racing experience in mind. Our seat shells are designed using Catia V5 and NX 9 CAD software, with the aid of virtual dummies to optimise ergonomics and behaviour in the event of a collision. The projects are then verified using the most sophisticated FEM structural analysis methods and physically validated at the most accredited facilities. Sparco knows how to optimally design the seat shell using, as appropriate, pre-impregnated carbon, short-fibre forged carbon or fibreglass.Supercar drivers want seats that allow them to feel the performance, handling and reactions of their car both on the race track and on normal roads. At the same time, increasing attention is placed on comfort when driving long distances, facilitating the driving experience as much as possible. That is why ergonomic studies are so important for the engineers who design Sparco seats.
